A Message from the Steering Committee
Happy New Year M.O.R.E Members!
M.O.R.E remains committed to our stated mission and vision. In 2021, we continue to promote community policing, to advocate for more transparency in the Mt. Lebanon Police Department, and to educate our community about anti-racism. From time to time, we may turn our eyes to events happening in our city. We provide calls-to-action and share information in an effort to build a bridge between us and our brothers and sisters in the struggle. We do not exist in a bubble. We foster partnerships and alliances in order to remain strong, united, viable, and informed, but also to remind ourselves of our duty to use our good fortune to further the cause of justice.
Thank you all for sticking it out during the pandemic and over the holiday lull. We value the time and energy you have given to this young organization. The work. Our mission. Continues. As recent events in D.C. showed: the two systems of justice in this country are alive and well. With our continued commitment, we can make strides to ensure one justice for all and to move one step closer to that beloved community where everyone can feel safe. May our vision be transcended.
Hold steady,
Donna, Elaine, Olivia, Stephanie, and Tessa
